ArtsFest is Birmingham’s leading cultural festival, existing to develop new audiences for the arts in the city. The festival is supported by all of Birmingham’s major arts organisations in Birmingham, creating a special weekend programme.
The festival takes place in venues across the city and outdoor stages see everything from bhangra to ballet, the city’s streets come alive and venues operate an open house policy.
My role during ArtsFest 2006 was to manage the marketing, PR and sponsorship for the festival. This included a re-brand of the festival logo, annual identity, publicity and programme, national advertising campaign, overseeing PR, sponsorship and a small corporate launch. The festival was highly successful seeing real visitor figures in excess of 70,000 over the weekend.
